Labor Day Arts & Crafts Festival

The 57th Annual Labor Day Arts and Crafts Festival is a vibrant two-day celebration of creativity and culture that takes place on the beautiful boardwalk of our historic Colonial Beach coastal town. Food and Craft Vendors

No festival is complete without delightful culinary experiences. Local food trucks and restaurants serve up a delectable array of dishes and craft drinks, catering to various tastes and preferences.

Boardwalk Crafters

As attendees stroll along the boardwalk, they are treated to the sight of skilled boardwalk crafters demonstrating their craftsmanship in real-time. The live art demonstrations add an interactive element, allowing visitors to witness the creative process up close and even engage with the artists to gain insights into their techniques and inspirations.

Community Collaboration

This event is a collaboration between the Colonial Beach Chamber of Commerce, Colonial Beach Community Foundation, and BAMM (Beach, Art, Music, and Mentoring).

Colonial Beach 57th Annual Arts & Crafts Festival

The Colonial Beach Arts and Crafts Festival, now in its 57th year, has long been a cherished tradition in this charming riverside town. Since its inception, the festival has grown from a small gathering of local artisans into a major annual event, attracting visitors from all over the region. Colonial Beach’s rich history, dating back to its incorporation in 1892, and its scenic beaches along the Potomac River make it a unique place to visit. The town is also known as the birthplace of notable figures like George Washington and James Monroe, adding to its historic allure. Location

The annual Labor Day Arts & Crafts Festival takes place in downtown Colonial Beach Town Hill and boardwalk.  Located on the shores of the Potomac, Colonial Beach is less than two hours from Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Richmond.

Participation

The festival is free to attend and open to the public. We encourage all to participate and enjoy the numerous food and craft vendors as well as partake in the family activities.  Don’t forget your bathing suit to enjoy one of our six sandy beaches.
